New Samsung i9000 galaxy S has been manufactured by Samsung electronics. It is of candybar or slider smartphone type. It is an android 2.1 smartphone which is upgradeable upto 2.2. it was announced by the Samsung company in the month of march 2010
This galaxy has many features like 1GHz processor of “humming bird” S5PC110 type. It comprises of 8-16GB internal nand flash memory which is too sufficient to load the data. It’s capacity is upto 32GB micro SD. It has a 4-inch 480*800 pixel widescreen with super AMOLED of pentile type.

It has 512MB RAM and 2GB flash.The display is capacitive touch screen .it has 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, self shot, action shot, panorama shot, stop motion, smile-shot, add me to click photos and 720p HD video and also VGA front-facing camera. It has a power VR graphics processor which yields nearly 90 million triangles per second. This is the fastest graphics processing unit in any android phone to till today.

It is one of the first phones to offer Bluetooth 3.0 and divxHD, at 13mm and 9.9mm. during the time of release it is one of the thickest and the thinnest Android phone. It has a connectivity of dual band CDMA/EV-DO rev.A 800/1900 MHz EVDO Rev.A, WiMAX 2.5 to 2.7GHz, 802.16e 2.5G(GSM/GPRS/EDGE):850/900/1800/1900MHz., 3G( HSDPA 7.2Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps):900/1900/2100Mhz , Wi-Fi(802.1g/b/n), USB 2.0, DLNA, radio FM with RDS.

The dimensions of this phone are 122.4mm(4.82 in) (height) and 64.2mm(2.53 in) (width), 9.9mm(0.39 in) to 14mm(0.55 in) (diameter). It weights from 118grams (4.2 oz) to 155 grams(5.46 oz).

Samsung galaxy i-7500 is it’s predecessor. The new Samsung galaxy phone is available in India at 27,500 rupees.(US$608)
