The new nokia 5800 xpressmusic smart phone is a portable entertainment device launched by nokia. This phone was introduced on October 2, 2008 and released on the date November 8, 2008. it has a code named as “tube”.
This is the first touchscreen-equipped S60 device by nokia. It’s version is s60v5. this phone is one of the series of xpressmusic phones which encompasses with music and multimedia playback. Though this phone did not use nokia’s haptikos technology, the touchscreen features in this phone tactiles feedback.
The phone’s compatibility is for JAVA applications that are not touchscreen-aware.
It has features such as nHD 640*360 pixels, 3.2 inch, 16.9 wide screen and has 16.7 million colours. It has 3.2 megapixels camera carl zeiss AG optics with auto focus and dual LED flash. It also has second camera which is a front camera for video calls.
It has 128MB SDRAM, 256MB NAND, 81MB internal usage storage.
A maximum of 16GB micro SDH memory card can be inserted , 8GB card included. It supports GSM, EGPRS, WCDMA, HSDPA, A-GPS.. it has Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, WLAN, micro USB 2.0, 3.5mm headphone and video-out jack. It has candybar form factor.
The battery back-up of this xpressmusic phone is BL-5J and has a 2mm charging connector. The physical size of this phone is 111*51.7*15.5mm. it weighs 109 grams.
This phone is related to nokia C5-03. nokia X6 is its successor. It’s price is
approximately 272$.
